Cars for tall people?
I’m 6’ and have long legs, I’ve always driven a golf but am getting back problems from not being able to stretch my right leg out.

Any other lanky whoers have any reccomendations for something with lots of legroom in the drivers seat? I’m guessing I’m going to have to look at a saloon, much to my Mrs chagrin

Re: Cars for tall people?
I remember when I was a kid doing driving lessons. One instructor had a mini Métro and I kept hitting my right knee on the steering wheel. It was a nightmare (I’m 6ft).

The instructor got so irate with me and kept saying how he was 6ft 2 and it wasn’t a problem for him and I’m basically taking the piss.

So he said I’ll show you is possible. He got out the car and I’d never seen a man with a longer torso! He had the shortest legs ever. Fucking alien of a man.

What a weird day that was...

Thanks for the info chaps. Was having a drive today and I figured I need something with a nice wide footwell with the pedals quite far apart

Joe

I'm about the same and had an old civic as a temp car couple of years ago.

Excellent motor, great leg room.

I'm 6' 3" and moved from a 5 door Golf to a 5 door Honda Civic - I can fit in the latter and stretch legs no problem.

I can't remember what car(s) the late hammerhermit used to drive but he didn't have height issues with any of them, and he was 6' 10"

RIP Mike.

According to someone I know who is disabled and drives, 3 door models usually have more leg/disabled aid room than 4 door models.
